VACCINATION SERVICES
Many parents ask whether there's a flu vaccination option that doesn't involve a needle. A nasal-spray influenza vaccine is available for eligible children and adolescents, providing an alternative way to receive influenza vaccination.
The nasal-spray flu vaccine is a needle-free influenza vaccination option for eligible children and adolescents aged 2-17 years. Instead of an injection, the vaccine is administered as a spray into the nose, making it an alternative vaccination option for some families. This vaccine is seasonal and won't be available in store until flu seaon 2027.

Unlike a traditional flu vaccination given in the arm, the nasal-spray vaccine is administered into the nostrils.
The vaccine is designed to stimulate an immune response against influenza and is approved for use in eligible children and adolescents aged 2-17 years.
Your pharmacist will assess suitability before vaccination and explain what to expect on the day.

No. The nasal-spray vaccine is approved for children and adolescents aged 2-17 years.
